The one-bedroom apartment I stayed in was spacious, around 45 square meters, and featured a large balcony with an excellent sea view. The pool area was clean and offered a decent snack bar that provided quick bites for those lazy days by the water.

Getting to the hotel involves climbing 150 steps, which can be a workout, especially after a long day. The air conditioning only worked in the living area, leaving the bedrooms stifling, and the furniture showed its age with some pieces, like the sofa bed, being particularly uncomfortable. My towels were replaced sporadically, and I didn't get any new bed linens during my five-night stay. Opening the apartment door could be a hassle, as it lacked a proper handle for a quick exit.

It was just an excellent fit for a brief hiatus in Santa Ponsa with very good value for money. The pool area was lovely, nice and clean, and we could always grab sunbeds without any hassle. Take a taxi from the square to avoid the steep uphill walk after a long day out.
